Tottenham Hotspur lost against Arsenal in the North London derby at the Emirates Stadium today.

Christian Eriksen is one of the best and most creative midfielders in Europe, but the Denmark international failed to do much of note for Tottenham Hotspur against Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.
Arsenal won the North London derby 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium, thanks to goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez.
Although Eriksen hit the outside of the post, the 25-year-old attacking midfielder’s overall performance was underwhelming.

Former Tottenham defender Graham Roberts was following the match, and he has a theory why the ex-Ajax star did not play well.
Roberts has suggested that playing three big games in the space of a few days was too much for Eriksen.
The midfielder featured for Denmark in their two-legged World Cup playoff tie against the Republic of Ireland during the international break.
Eriksen scored a hat-trick for Denmark against the Republic of Ireland in Dublin to guide his national team to the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia next summer.
