Well-known Spanish football journalist Graham Hunter has predicted on Twitter that Rodrigo will score 13 to 15 goals in the Premier League for Leeds United next season.
As announced on Leeds’s official website today, the promoted Premier League club have signed Rodrigo from Valencia.
The 29-year-old Spain international is a versatile footballer who can operate as a striker or as a winger.
Well-known Spanish football journalist Hunter has given his take on Rodrigo scoring goals for Leeds next season.
Hunter wrote on Twitter: “If Bielsa plays Rodrigo as @LUFC main striker I’d be taking 10+ goals. If he’s wide or support I’d be less sure. My feeling is 13-15 Prem goals – lovely guy, hope he has fun.”
Good signing for Leeds United?
Rodrigo is a very good player who is fast, scores goals, creates chances and works hard.
The Spaniard fits the way Leeds head coach Bielsa likes his teams to play – pressing hard and always putting pressure on the opposition.
Patrick Bamford is the only senior out-and-out striker in the current Leeds team, and the Whites needed to sign a player like Rodrigo.
In terms of the number of goals the Spaniard will score next season, one suspects that much will depend on how he is used by Bielsa, whether out wide or as a striker.
