The 35-year-old is expected to be a success at Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers.
Graham Dorrans has told The Mail that Rangers team-mate Bruno Alves is an “unbelievable figure” to have at Ibrox.
The 35-year-old defender was Pedro Caixinha’s first signing at Rangers this summer, with Dorrans, who joined for £1.5 million from Norwich City (according to The Scottish Sun), the last to arrive so far.
Both men played together for the first time on Saturday as the Gers held Marseille to a 1-1 draw in a friendly at Ibrox.

Alves was late arriving to Glasgow this summer after helping Portugal reach the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup, with the towering centre-back boasting 95 caps for his country.
In addition to that, he also has a wealth of experience at club level, having represented the likes of Porto, AEK Athens, Zenit St Petersburg and Fenerbahce during his career.
Despite his advancing years, Alves still looked a fine centre-back against some quality strikers in the Confederations Cup and he should, in theory, be a good signing for Rangers.
And Dorrans, speaking to The Mail, says that the big man will be “vital” for the Scottish Premiership side this season.
He said: “That [his experience] will be vital for us. He is an unbelievable figure to come into the squad.
“He has only been in a couple of days, so I am sure he is still getting used to it. But I am confident he will be a great asset to the football club.”
