Liverpool and Manchester City are set to meet on Sunday in a crucial Premier League title showdown.

Graeme Souness has suggested that Pep Guardiola is ‘thinking too much’ about Liverpool and Sadio Mane after the Manchester City manager accused the latter of diving.
Straight after Manchester City beat Southampton on Saturday, Guardiola accused Mane of diving [Sky Sports] after he was booked for simulation during Liverpool’s win at Aston Villa – both games were being played at the same time.
Even though City had just come from behind to secure a very valuable three points against Southampton, it seems as though Guardiola couldn’t help but have a dig at his title rivals.
Speaking to Virgin Media Sport (05/11/2019), Liverpool legend Souness shutdown Guardiola for his comments and thinks that his former side should see the positive side to his claims.
“I’d be encouraged if I was in the Liverpool camp,” Souness told Virgin Media Sport. “So soon after City’s game finished, he’s talking about his own team and then immediately he came out with his remarks regarding Mane.
“You’re thinking too much about Mane and Liverpool immediately after a game. I’d be encouraged by that if I was a Liverpool player or member of staff.
“All you can do in football is be concerned by your own lot – the City game will take care of itself. There is so much hype and interest.”

Guardiola’s comments have no doubt added more spice to a game that already had a lot of limelight on it because of what is at stake.
Liverpool are six points ahead of their rivals and a further three points on Sunday will only result in more people backing Klopp’s side to win the title at the end of the season.
Of course, there’s a long way to go, as Guardiola will be hoping his mind games ahead of that fixture works.
