Liverpool are currently level at the top of the table but Souness has one concern.
Speaking to talkSPORT, former Liverpool manager Graeme Souness has said he worries the current side are vulnerable when they don’t dominate a game.
The Reds have started the season in superb fashion, winning seven of their first ten games and sitting level on points with Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of the table.
They have impressed in an attacking sense, scoring 24 goals so far, again the joint most in the division alongside Manchester City.

At the other end they have been less that impressive, though, conceding 13 goals in total, the most of any team in the top six.
Souness has been impressed but admits he does have one major concern about this current team.
“When they are on the front foot, they are fabulous. On the front foot, they are as good as anyone – maybe the best – right now,” he told talkSPORT.
“But when the game changes, when you don’t dominate from start to finish, you have got to sense that.”
“I see Liverpool right now and think, is that a fast forward gear from the first minute right to the very end of the game? They look a wee bit vulnerable at times when they don’t dominate the game.”

Liverpool will certainly need to show improvement in defence if they are to be serious contenders for the title this season.
The last time they were title contenders, in the 2013/14 season, they played in a similar manner to this team, with their forward players flourishing but the defence looking vulnerable.
That season saw them concede 50 goals in total and that frailty ultimately ended up costing them the title as they dropped points in games, such as the infamous 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace.
That title capitulation was a chastening experience and Reds fans will be hoping lessons have been learned to ensure a weak defence does not cost their team again.
