The Tottenham Hotspur striker is yet to score from open play for the club.

Tottenham Hotspur were knocked out of the EFL Cup yesterday after losing 2-1 to Liverpool at Anfield.
But if they are going to take any positives from the game, then Dutch striker Vincent Janssen hitting the back of the net will be top of the pile.
Janssen scored his second goal for the club, with his other previous one also in the competition against Gillingham. Both goals came from the penalty spot but Spurs fans will no doubt hope they act as a confidence boost for the struggling striker.
Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen shoots at goal
Speaking on Sky Sports yesterday the TV pundit Graeme Souness had his say about the player. He believes he is simply not quick enough with the ball at feet to be a success in the Premier League at this time:
“It’s a tough world, he does not have the sharpness that is going to help him to score goals.
“You have to think fast and that can transfer from your head to your feet. I do not think he is fast enough. His feet are not fast enough, so he will not score much at this level.”
Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen looks dejected
Janssen had a fantastic scoring record in Holland but is still to find the back of the net from open play in England.
At the moment it is too early to say whether he is bound to be a Spurs flop but he is certainly struggling to find anything near his best form at present.
Spurs fans will be hoping he can prove the likes of Souness wrong and get his first goal from open play in the near future.
