Speaking on the Sky Sports Football Podcast, Graeme Souness has been speaking about Leeds United’s newest signing Daniel James.
The Welsh winger signed for the Whites on transfer deadline day, and ahead of his potential debut against Liverpool he’s been the centre of attention.
Souness was asked about James ahead of the game, and he thinks that he’s a good fit for Leeds and that he’ll only improve under the tutelage of Marcelo Bielsa.
What’s been said?
Souness spoke about James ahead of Leeds’ game against Liverpool.
“I would think we will see him at some stage in the game. Is he a good fit for Leeds? Yeah, he’s a young player who is only going to get better. He’s energetic and that’s what you have to be if you’re going to play for Leeds,” Souness said.

Could be a star
James could end up being one of the signings of the summer.
At £25m he isn’t cheap at all, but he’s got some attributes that just can’t be taught, and he’s working under a manager who can help him improve certain sides of his game that are lacking.
James’ key attribute is undoubtedly his incredible pace, and that makes him a great fit for this all-action Leeds United side that so often thrive on quick counter-attacks.
If Bielsa can fine-tune the technical side of his game then Leeds will have a real gem on their hands here.
