Former Liverpool and Rangers midfielder Graeme Souness has predicted in The Sunday Times that Manchester United will win the Premier League title this coming season.
Souness has backed Manchester City to finish second in the league table during the 2016-17 campaign.
The former Newcastle United manager has predicted North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal to claim the two final Champions League spots.

“When the Premier League resumes on Saturday, I expect to see a title race played out mainly in Manchester, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s arrival perhaps giving United the edge over City,” Souness wrote in The Sunday Times.
“The usual suspects will reassert themselves after Leicester City’s triumph last season. I take Tottenham and Arsenal to make the Champions League at the expense of Chelsea and Liverpool.”

United and City are the top two favourites to win the Premier League title this season.
Both the Manchester clubs have made some very good signings in the summer transfer window and have new managers in charge.
Arsenal should also be in the mix for the title race, while Tottenham will fancy their chances of competing for the championship yet again.
What about Chelsea? Surely, under new manager Antonio Conte, the Blues cannot be as bad as they were last season.
The London outfit have to be counted among the teams who will challenge for the Premier League title during the 2016-17 campaign.
The 2016-17 Premier League title race promises to be one of the most competitive in recent years.
