According to The Scottish Sun, it “looks certain” that Morelos will leave Rangers in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool legend Souness, who both played for and managed Rangers, does not believe that the likes of the Reds, Manchester United and Manchester United will be interested in securing the services of Morelos this summer.
Souness believes that clubs in the Championship in England could take a chance on the 22-year-old Colombia international striker.
Souness told The Scottish Sun: “You might get someone in the Championship taking a chance on him, but I can’t see Liverpool, Manchester City or Manchester United being interested in Morelos.
“That’s how I see it. I might be wrong. I’d very much doubt if big teams would be interested. Maybe lower end of the Premier League, but they would question his discipline.
“Morelos is a real player, but he needs to get that out of his game. He’s somehow got to keep that fire, but control it too.”
Premier League move?
Morelos has been superb for Rangers since he joined the Gers in the summer of 2017, and is a proven goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership.
It is only a matter of time before the youngster leaves Rangers, and it could well be a club in England who take a chance on him.
It is hard to see Liverpool, City or United sign Morelos anytime soon, but if the youngster is able to deliver the goods in the Premier League for a mid-table club, then perhaps bigger clubs in the English top flight will make a move for him in the future.
According to BBC Sport, Morelos has scored 19 goals and provided four assists in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers this season.
