Graeme Souness has told L’Equipe that Liverpool will win against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final this weekend.

Premier League rivals Tottenham and Liverpool will face each other in the final of the Champions League at Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid on Saturday evening.

Souness, who failed to break into the Tottenham first team before becoming a Liverpool legend in the 1970s and the 1980s and now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, has backed Jurgen Klopp’s side to win the final.

Souness told L’Equipe when asked for his prediction: “The Reds. If you look past the fact they lost league title to Manchester City, they are ready to go.

“They only lost one game in the Premier League this season, they overall played much better football than Tottenham, and they have the experience from last year’s final.”

Liverpool are favourites

Liverpool have a better team than Tottenham, and the Merseyside outfit are favourites for the Champions League final.

The Reds also have a more illustrious history in the Champions League than Spurs, and Jurgen Klopp’s side reached the final of Europe’s club competition last season as well.

However, Liverpool cannot be complacent, as Tottenham have deservedly reach the final, getting the better of Ajax and Manchester City on the way.

If star striker Harry Kane starts, then Liverpool are going to find it extremest hard to win against Tottenham.
