Rangers star Morelos has been sent off twice against Aberdeen this season.

Aberdeen captain Graeme Shinnie has told the Press & Journal that if Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is shown a third red card against the Dons this season, then it his own fault.
Morelos, 22, is expected to start for Rangers on Wednesday night as the Gers travel to Pittodrie in what will be a tough clash for the Gers – and a result that could impact the Scottish Premiership title race.
The Colombia international received his marching orders in Gerrard’s Scottish Premiership debut, kicking out at Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna after the Scotland international had barged into the striker. His red card was rescinded.
He then earned a second yellow card in the 1-0 loss to Aberdeen in December, after an incident with midfielder Shinnie and the latter discussed winding Morelos up – and stated if the striker receives a red, it his fault.
“Any professional wouldn’t want to get another sent off, winding them up and playing on that. If he gets sent off then it’s his own doing but I wouldn’t encourage winding people up and trying to get them sent off,” Shinnie said.

Rangers go into Wednesday night’s league match at Pittodrie having failed to beat Aberdeen in three attempts this season, losing in December and in the semi-final of the League Cup – as well as August’s 1-1 draw.
It remains to be seen if Steven Gerrard will combine both Morelos and Jermain Defoe up front, or play just the former HJK Helsinki striker by himself.
