Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are said to be close to making their next managerial appointment.
Graeme Murty has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he has no idea if he has taken charge of his last match at Glasgow Rangers.
Murty has been in charge for nearly three weeks, since Mark Warburton’s exit from Ibrox.
The 42-year-old boss has had mixed success at Rangers so far, during a difficult period in charge.
Rangers won Murty’s first match in charge against Morton, but then were beaten by Dundee and Inverness.
The Light Blues were, therefore, under pressure to get back to winning ways last night against St. Johnstone – and they just about managed to.
Rangers needed a last minute strike from Emerson Hyndman to secure the three points.
And when asked whether Murty thought he would be in charge for another match, he responded by saying: “I’ve got no idea [if it’s my last game], you’d have to ask the board.
“Now is not the time for me to be personally satisfied. I’ll have a cold glass of wine later on, but I’m relieved for the players.”
Rangers’ next match comes against Hamilton on Saturday in the Scottish Cup quarter-final.
According to Sky Sports, Rangers are close to announcing a new permanent manager now.
