Glasgow Rangers beat Partick Thistle 3-0 at Ibrox, with Daniel Candeias proving extremely influential in the win.

Candeias played an integral role in guiding the Gers to an emphatic 3-0 win at Ibrox, putting in the cross that allowed Ross McCrorie to score the game’s first goal before finding the back of the net himself six minutes before the break.

And Murty expressed his delight for the winger, and suggested that he is hoping to see his confidence grow in the coming weeks.
“So I’m really pleased for him because he needs to start believing in himself and his ability.

“I think he could be a major threat in the final third if we can get him more consistent and get him running at people because he’s got a trick, he’s quick and he puts really good balls in the box.
“So we could make more use of him I think.”
With wingers arguably tending to be the players who provide the most frustration, as they are often the ones looking to create the golden chances with killer passes or crosses, it will undoubtedly be a major boost for Candeias if his performance does lift his confidence.
He clearly has the quality to be a hugely important player for the Gers – he has scored twice and contributed four assists in the top flight this term – and if Murty is correct and there is more to come despite his brilliant display against Partick, then Rangers’ decision to sign him in the summer could soon look like a masterstroke.
