Rangers caretaker-manager Graeme Murty comments on Ross McCrorie’s game and highlights on area where the Ibrox defender needs to improve.

McCrorie is one of the best young defenders in Scotland and has established himself as an important player in the current Rangers team.
The 19-year-old defender has played well for the Gers so far this season and has a bright future ahead of him.
The Scotland Under-21 international has also been deployed in defensive midfield on occasions, and the talented and promising teenager has proved his versatility by playing well in that area.
Rangers caretaker-manager Murty has praised McCrorie, but he has also pointed out one area where the youngster needs to improve on.

Murty told The Scottish Sun about McCrorie: “He can play numerous positions – he has played left-back, right-back, centre back, centre mid. He is astute tactically, he possesses a broad range of talents but, more importantly he understands the role that you put him into.
“He and I had some words earlier on in the week about travelling too often with the ball because he likes to step past people and he has got a good turn of pace.
“I have told him he just has to accept the ball, shift the ball and move the ball on in a smaller space with less steps, and he did that.”

Rangers are doing well at the moment and have won their last three Scottish Premiership games.
The Gers are second in the league table at the moment with 33 points from 17 matches, five points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have a game in hand.
