Graeme Murty suggests Rangers could sign more players

Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers have brought Jason Cummings and Russell Martin among others to Ibrox. Could the Gers make more January signings?

Rangers manager Graeme Murty has suggested that he will make more signings in the January transfer window, as quoted by The Daily Record (Transfer live, 16:21, Sunday, January 28, 2017).

The Gers have been quite busy so far in the January transfer window and have already brought a number of players to Ibrox.

The Ibrox club have signed 22-year-old midfielder Sean Goss, 28-year-old winger Jamie Murphy, 22-year-old striker Jason Cummings and 32-year-old defender Russell Martin on loan from Queens Park Rangers, Brighton and Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest and Norwich City respectively.

Rangers manager Murty has suggested that the club could make more signings in the final days of the January transfer window.

Murty has also suggested that players could leave the Ibrox between now and transfer deadline day on Wednesday night.

The Gers manager made the comments following Rangers’ 2-1 victory over Ross County away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.

“You never know,” The Daily Record (Transfer live, 16:21, Sunday, January 28, 2017) quotes Murty as saying regarding more transfer business at Rangers this month. “Our business has been good.

“The people we have brought in have really benefited us. I’m pleased with what we have done, but I don’t think our business is complete in or out.”

Murty added to The Daily Record: “There will possibly be movement both ways, but you never know. We have to be fluid enough to react to any situations because I know people are looking at our players. People want our players.”
