Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers manager Graeme Murty seems to rate Gers defender Ross McCrorie highly.
McCrorie is one of the best and most talented young defenders in Scotland and has established himself as a key player in the current Rangers team.
The 19-year-old Scotland Under-21 international has shown his versatility by playing as a defensive midfielder.
The teenager is playing well at the moment and has a bright future ahead of him.
Rangers caretaker-manager Murty has admitted that he faces a conundrum with McCrorie regarding his position.
Murty told The Sunday Post about McCrorie: “We talked about Ryan Jack going up to Aberdeen and playing right-back, out of his position for Scotland against the Netherlands, and his tactical wherewithal to go and do that.
“We’ve now seen that from Ross to a high standard. He can play both sides of full-back, centre-back in a two or three and now demonstrated against a very good team that he can go and play as a holding midfield player.
“So he’s a conundrum for me, finding his best position. But for a Scotland manager of any age group or first team, you can rely on him to put in a level of performance in whatever tactical position you give him.”
Rangers have recovered their form, and back-to-back wins against Aberdeen have seen them go second in the Scottish Premiership table.
The Gers are unlikely to challenge for the league title, as Old Firm rivals Celtic are running away with the championship, but they can certainly clinch the runners-up spot.
Murty is doing at the moment, and maybe, just maybe, the Rangers board should think about giving him the Rangers managerial job until the end of the season.
