Glasgow Rangers are currently in the midst of a mini-crisis.

Rangers caretaker manager Graeme Murty spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference, and explained how he has been shown nothing but support from the club’s board since he took over from Mark Warburton on a temporary basis a little under a fortnight ago, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Gers have endured a woeful run of form over the past few weeks, and now sit in third position in the Scottish Premiership table, six points adrift of second placed Aberdeen, and a further 24 points behind fierce rivals Celtic.
They lost 2-1 away at Dundee last weekend – a result that saw them lose further ground on the Dons, and Murty really has his work cut-out if he is to help arrest their alarming slump in form.
He will have another opportunity to prove himself on Friday night, however, when he takes his Rangers side 168 miles north for their trip to Inverness Caledonian Thistle, where anything but a win will do.
And Murty explained how he has been shown fantastic support from the Glasgow giant’s board throughout what has been difficult times at Ibrox, when speaking to reporters, responding to a question asking him to elaborate on the levels of communication between him and the Rangers’ hierarchy, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“It’s been even better I would say, with the same message. The only communication I have had from all members of the board is ‘keep doing what you’re doing, can we help you at all’. They’ve not put any timescale or pressure on me.”
Marty will surely not believe that he will be offered any kind of permanent role at Ibrox, however, as Rangers continue their search for the man they hope can help them reduce the gulf in class between them and Celtic.
