Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers failed to win against Motherwell away from Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

The Gers played out a 2-2 draw with Motherwell away from home at Fir Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts started the match strongly and were 2-0 up after just 16 minutes, thanks to goals from Curtis Main (penalty) and Allan Campbell.
Rangers stepped up their game in the second half and scored twice in quick succession through James Tavernier (penalty) and Jamie Murphy.

Murty has revealed what he told the Rangers players at half time.
“I have loads of emotions about it; relief that the boys managed to come back, happy that they showed more character in the second-half but really frustrated that we didn’t deal with a really overt and very well prepped threat to our goal,” Murty told Rangers’ official website.
“We didn’t deal with it at all the first-half and you put yourself up against it by conceded two really poor goals.
“I said to the guys at half-time that as much as I want to change everything and as much as I want to lambast lots and lots of people you know I desire and want more, go out and actually take some accountability. I said to go and stand up and I think we did in the second-half.”

Fight for second place
Rangers’ recent form has not been great, and now the Gers are in a fight for the second spot in the Scottish Premiership table.
The Ibrox club are currently second in the standings with 59 points from 32 matches, level on points with Aberdeen, who have a game in hand.
Hibernian are currently fourth in the Scottish Premiership table with 55 points from 31 matches.
