Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly want Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard as the Gers manager.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool legend Gerrard has decided to take the managerial role at Rangers at the end of the season.
It has been reported that the former England international midfielder, who is currently in charge of the Liverpool Under-18 side, has said yes to the Scottish Premiership giants.
Murty will remain in charge of Rangers until the end of the 2017-18 campaign at least, and he has revealed what he has told his players regarding speculation surrounding Gerrard.

“I addressed the situation with the players,” Murty told The Scottish Sun. “I told them there’s a lot of speculation flying around about this player, that player, this manager and that manager. Their job as footballers is to take care of business on the pitch.
“I told them, ‘If you are going to be here next year, and I am going to be here, then you owe me a performance’.
“If someone else is watching and they are going to come in, they definitely owe themselves a performance to get in their thoughts. There is no better place to do it than Parkhead on Sunday.”

Old Firm derby
Rangers will return to action this afternoon when they take on Old Firm rivals Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic will head into the Old Firm derby as favourites and will win the Scottish Premiership title if they pick up all three points from the match.
While the Gers will be unable to stop the Hoops from winning the league yet again this season, they can delay their title celebrations by beating them today.
