Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers brought Jason Cummings to Ibrox on loan from Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window.

Murty has revealed that Cummings has calmed down since his move from Nottingham Forest in the Championship in England in the January transfer window.
The Rangers boss has also disclosed that he has urged the former Hibernian striker to be himself, adding that the 22-year-old told him that he was frustrated as he wanted to play.

Murty told The Scottish Sun about Cummings: “Jason thrives on life full-stop, he’s a happy guy. He is actually a confidence guy in that when he first came in he was this larger than life character.
“He’s calmed down a bit and shrunk somewhat. I’ve challenged him not to do that, to be himself and be that big gallus guy.
“He said he is frustrated and wants to play. I told him to put a line in the sand. I told him, ‘Be strong enough to be you’.”

In form
Cummings failed to make an impact at Forest in the first half of the season, making only seven starts in the Championship for the Reds.
The youngster is in good form for Rangers at the moment and scored a stunning hat-trick in the Scottish Cup at the weekend.
The 22-year-old Scotland international striker has scored one goal in seven appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers, according to Transfermarkt.com.
Given the form that Cummings is in at the moment, one should not be surprised if Rangers boss Murty includes him in the starting lineup against Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday.
