Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers lost to Hibernian at Ibrox at the weekend.
The Gers faced Hibernian at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership last Saturday afternoon.
Rangers were expected to win, but Murty’s side slumped to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Hibs.
Rangers manager Murty has revealed what Hibernian boss Lennon – a Celtic legend – told him after the match about the performance and the Ibrox fans.
“Talking to Neil Lennon and his staff after the game he was really impressed with us, which I suppose is really easy when you’ve won the game,” Murty told The Glasgow Evening Times.
“He thought they were out on their feet and he was grateful to get the penalty because he thought the atmosphere was amazing and our fans were great. Neil was telling me that after the game, that he thought we would have gone on and won it.”
Only way is up
Rangers have progressed well under Murty, and although the team lost to Hibernian, there is no doubt that the Gers can still finish second in the Scottish Premiership this season.
The Rangers players are playing with confidence at the moment, and although they are bound to slip up from time to time, the fans should be optimistic about the future.
Rangers are back in action on Tuesday evening when they take on Partick Thistle away from home at the Firhill Stadium in the Scottish Premiership.
