Rangers boss Murty appeared to upset Ian Holloway with his comments about a permanent Ibrox move for Goss.
Rangers director of football Mark Allen has spoken to Queens Park Rangers counterpart Les Ferdinand to clarify comments made by Ibrox manager Graeme Murty.
Murty incurred the wrath of R’s boss Ian Holloway this week after suggesting he would be interested in doing a permanent deal for Rangers loan star Sean Goss.
But speaking at a press conference on Friday, Murty insisted that there is no problem between the two clubs.
“I was asked a question about Sean, I said that he was doing particularly well,” said the former Scotland defender, via Rangers’ official Youtube channel. “He’s bedded in nicely and understands what it means to play for Rangers.
“But Sean is a QPR player – I said that from the outset. I’ve always said that. If he becomes available that will be a discussion. As far as I understand it, Les has said he’s not for sale.
“I also said that at the start of the interview, so there is no problem between the clubs. We understand the situation at the minute.
“All we can say it’s been a positive for all parties. He’s showing what he can do and we’re benefiting from that.”
He added: “Mark Allen has spoken to Les and reiterated our position and what I actually said about Sean. We’re comfortable with the situation.
Asked if the this week’s events have damaged Rangers’ chances of securing a permanent deal for Goss, who has scored twice in seven league outings since his January move to Ibrox, Murty replied: “It won’t be down to us what happens next. It will be down to his parent club and the young man himself.
“What we’re doing is enjoying having the young man here, so let’s just celebrate that and worry about other things another time.”
QPR paid Manchester United £500,000 in January 2017, but have only used him on six occasions – and none since last season.
The 22-year-old is under contract for another two years at Loftus Road.
