Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have only been able to play Jordan Rossiter four times this season.

Rangers manager Graeme Murty is seen during the Scottish Cup Quarter final match between Rangers and Hamilton Academical at Ibrox Stadium on March 4, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Graeme Murty has told Glasgow Rangers’ official website that Jordan Rossiter is progressing well, as the midfielder looks to come back from injury.

Rossiter was brought to Rangers back in 2016, but his time at Ibrox has been blighted by injury.

The former Liverpool man is still currently on the treatment table, as he looks to get back to full fitness.

And Murty says that Rangers fans are consistently asking him on social media whether Rossiter will be back available soon.

“I get loads of Tweets all the time about how he is doing, and we are just having to make sure we keep Jordan informed, and make sure he is ready to go when his body is ready, and make sure we don’t get too frustrated as he could get really frustrated,” Murty said.

“He wants to be on the pitch and he wants to be playing all the time. We just have to make sure we get him ready and he is ready to go when his body is good and done.”

When Rossiter joined Rangers he was expected to have a key part to play, as he was so highly regarded at Liverpool.

However, the Ibrox side are yet to see the best of the 20-year-old, due to his struggles for fitness.

Rossiter has played just four times in all competitions for the Gers this term, and only managed to feature six times last campaign.

Rangers are next in action on Friday evening, when they take on Dundee.
