Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers will face Hibernian away from Ibrox on Wednesday, and Graeme Murty has suggested that Ross McCrorie could play.

Rangers manager Graeme Murty is seen during the Scottish Cup Quarter final match between Rangers and Hamilton Academical at Ibrox Stadium on March 4, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Rangers caretaker-manager Graeme Murty has suggested to The Express that Ross McCrorie could be fit for the match against Hibernian this week.

McCrorie suffered an injury during the Scottish Premiership game between Rangers and Ross County at Ibrox at the weekend.

The 19-year-old defender suffered a foot injury against County and was substituted in the 73rd minute of the match on Saturday afternoon.

The Scotland Under-21 international, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, is one of the best young players in Scotland and has established himself as an important figure in the current Gers’ team.

Rangers caretaker-manager Murty has suggested that McCrorie could be fit for the Scottish Premiership game against Hibernian away from home at Easter Road on Wednesday evening.

“The problem is on the bottom of his foot,” Murty told The Express. “Touch wood, I hope he will be ready for Wednesday. The physios will assess him on Monday and see how he is.”

McCrorie is a brilliant footballer, and if the youngster starts on Wednesday evening, then it will give Rangers a very good chance of picking up all three points against Hibernian, who drew with Celtic at home at the weekend.
