Alfedo Morelos was left out of the Glasgow Rangers starting lineup at Ibrox, with Nottingham Forest-owned Jason Cummings deployed in attack for Graeme Murty’s side.

Morelos was left out of Rangers’ starting lineup against Kilmarnock at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
The Colombian striker eventually came on just past the hour mark, but it was the visiting team that picked up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 1-0 win.
It was Nottingham Forest-owned striker Jason Cummings who started, with Morelos having failed to convert an easy chance late on in the Old Firm derby against Celtic at Ibrox last weekend.
Rangers manager Murty has explained why he did not start with Morelos against Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

Murty told The Scottish Sun: “Alfredo has played a lot of football and we also need to be fair to Jason who has been working extremely hard in training.
“I thought it was a good game that would fit him but he doesn’t play in isolation. We need to get good supply to give him a chance of representing himself properly.”

Plan backfired?
Cummings, who joined Rangers on loan from Forest in the Championship in England, failed to do much of note against Kilmarnock, as the young striker was largely isolated in the second half.
Morelos did not exactly have a great game after coming on as a substitute, and it seems that Murty’s plan did not work out as he expected it to.
