Rangers brought in Greg Docherty from Hamilton for £600,000 in January.

Graeme Murty could have pulled off one of Glasgow Rangers’ biggest bargain signings for years in the form of Greg Docherty.

Rangers snapped up Docherty from Hamilton in the January transfer window, and they only paid £600,000 for the midfielder, as reported by the Daily Record.

The 21-year-old has already put in performances which belie his relatively modest price-tag, with the youngster standing out at Rangers.

Docherty has come into Murty’s starting line-up almost immediately at Ibrox, with the midfielder catching the eye.

Docherty has already shown a wonderful range of passing, but he also appears to have the grit and determination that are necessary to succeed at Rangers.

And if Docherty continues to perform to his current standard then his value is only set to rise.

Already, Docherty looks like a player worth millions at Ibrox, and at the age of 21, he has all the attributes to become one of the Light Blues’ finest midfielders for a number of years.
