The Glasgow Rangers pair are currently side-lined through injury.

Rangers’ interim manager Graeme Murty has been speaking to the club’s official television channel about three of the Gers’ currently side-lined players

Centre-back Fabio Cardoso broke his nose in the recent Scottish League Cup semi-final but he could return for Steven Notman’s testimonial this evening, while Jordan Rossiter also appears to be closing in on a first-team return after failing to make much of a mark at Ibrox thus far.

As for Graham Dorrans, he will learn more about his own problem in the coming days.

Jordan Rossiter of Rangers during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Hamilton Academical at Ibrox Stadium on August 6, 2016 in Glasgow, Scotland.

“Fabio trained on Monday and Tuesday and got into the whole session which is good after his nose operation,” Murty told Rangers TV.

“Dozza is going to see a specialist about his ankle this week and Jordan Rossiter is progressing well.”

The latter was tipped for big things when he swapped Liverpool for Rangers, but thus far he has struggled to get sufficient game time, in no small part down to a number of injuries.

The 20-year-old has managed only 10 appearances for Rangers to date and he accrued just nine minutes of league action this season prior to his latest setback.

A calf injury has meant Rossiter has been unable to seize the opportunities offered to young Rangers players under Murty’s temporary tenure; however he will be hoping to change that sooner rather than later.

As for Dorrans, he is vital for Rangers and will be keen to get back to action as soon as he can, although Jason Holt’s transformation means the former will not be missed as much as first thought.
