Glasgow Rangers defender James Tavernier must find consistency at the Ibrox club says Greame Murty. Sunderland are reportedly interested in him.

Rangers boss Graeme Murty says that defender James Tavernier can move to the Premier League but only if he performs at a high level on a more regular basis.
The 26-year-old right back has put in a number of impressive performances this season, and Murty says that Tavernier’s task is to make himself the target of an outrageous bid.
He advises him that if the Gers defender wants to play in the Premier League, then he has to be on top of his game every single day.

“We haven’t had anything for him but if he continues to play like he did at Celtic Park you wouldn’t be surprised. His task is to make himself the target of an outrageous bid,” said Murty, as quoted by the Evening Times.
“If he wants to go and play in the Premier League, which seems to be the end goal for most people, he has to be outstanding at everything every single day because that will translate into performance.
“We have all seen his top level of performance, we know how good he can be. I have said to the entire squad that our top level what define what we do individually and collectively this season, it is what we do on a daily basis. We have to make sure our daily operating is of a higher level than it has been.

According to The Daily Mail, Sunderland and Reading in the Championship in England are interested in signing Tavernier from Rangers this month.
The report also claimed that the former Leeds United player is open to a return to England.
Rangers, third in the Scottish Premiership, will face Fraserburgh in the Scottish FA Cup clash on Sunday.
