Glasgow Rangers midfielder Josh Windass has been linked with Leeds United and Preston North End, but Graeme Murty wants him to stay at Ibrox.

Windass has established himself as an important player for Rangers in recent weeks and is playing well under Gers manager Murty at the moment.
According to The Sunday Post, Preston in the Championship in England have made a bid for the 24-year-old midfielder.
It has also been reported that Leeds, who play in the Championship in England as well, are interested in the former Accrington Stanley star.
Rangers manager Murty, though, has stated that he wants to keep hold of Windass and has spoken to the midfielder about his future at Ibrox.

Murty told The Sunday Post about Windass: “He’s someone we want to keep at the football club, and we’ve spoken to Josh.
“The bid that came in from Preston was below our valuation and, while we respect their right to make that bid, he’s our player and we want to keep him.
“It’s Josh’s job to try to elevate his game to that next level. I’m confident he can do that here, because he does have some wonderful attributes.
“It’s up to Josh now to make sure that if another bid comes in, it’s an absolutely stratospheric one.”

Windass is a very good midfielder, and one can understand why Leeds are (reportedly) interested in him.
The West Yorkshire outfit could do with another midfield player in their quest to finish in the top six of the Championship this season.
However, for Rangers to finish second in the Scottish Premiership this season, they should not sell Windass in the January transfer window.
