Rangers caretaker boss praises Ibrox summer signing Carlos Pena.

Rangers caretaker boss Graeme Murty has praised the attitude of attacker Carlos Pena after his substitution last week.
Rangers substituted Pena in the recent away win over Aberdeen, and the temporary gaffer at Ibrox says he was pleased with the Mexican’s response.
Murty believes Pena is buying into the team spirit that he is trying to foster at Glasgow Rangers.

He told The Telegraph: “At Aberdeen, everyone contributed and even Carlos Pena was involved when he came off, congratulating the guys, realising that everyone has a part to play.
“If we get that mindset, that togetherness, as I’ve said there are qualities and threats within our group that mean we can go and hurt teams.”
Pena was one of the signings made by former boss Pedro Caixinha, who was fired in October.

A report in the Daily Mail last night claimed Pena could yet be moved on in the January transfer window, but it certainly appears his manager is happy with him.
Pena scored in the recent home win over Aberdeen, and while some of his performances have been disappointing, he has popped up with some valuable goals.
If given time and patience he could develop beyond being a vital squad player to an integral first team starter, but it remains to be seen how long he will get at Ibrox.
