Rangers boss Graeme Murty is relaxed about the future of Alfredo Morelos amidst renewed speculation over a potential switch to China.

The Gers have rejected four offers already for Morelos, the latest being a a £9 million bid from Chinese outfit Beijing Renhe.

The 21-year-old has also attracted interest from South American clubs, but Rangers are reluctant to sell him before the end of the season.

Last week, the Scottish Sun reported that the Ibrox club are bracing themselves for another mega bid for the Colombian, thought to be in the region of £11 million.

The Chinese window is still open till the end of this month, and Beijing Renhe are determined to sign him.

Morelos has been one of the top performers for Rangers this season, and he scored his 16th goal of the campaign in the 5-3 win over Hamilton on Sunday.

Murty says that he is relaxed over Morelos’s future and has no fears about losing him. He adds that if a bid comes in for him, the club will decide on it, but Rangers are under no economic pressure to sell him.

The Rangers boss has assured that Morelos is an integral part of his plans. The Gers have moved to second in the Scottish Premiership table, nine points behind Celtic.

“I can’t expect a bid or not. If it comes, we will deal with it. I am fairly relaxed about it,” said Murty, as quoted by the Evening Times.

“I can always refuse it. I have always said I am under no economic imperative to get him sold and move him on. If the bid comes in and the club decide we want to take it, that will be a discussion between us all.

“But you have seen in the games since the bid came in, against Ayr and Hamilton, that he’s been an integral part of things.”
