Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers lost the Old Firm derby 3-2 on Sunday.

Graeme Murty has lamented the defensive mix-up that contributed to Rangers’ 3-2 defeat at Celtic on Sunday.
The Gers looked set to carry a 2-1 half-time lead into yesterday’s thrilling Old Firm derby at Ibrox.
But a long ball from Scott Brown caught Fabio Cardoso and Bruno Alves off guard as Moussa Dembele lobbed Wes Foderingham to peg Murty’s side back just seconds before the whistle.
In retrospect, it might have been the moment that Brendan Rodgers’s side took control of the match, even if they lost Jozo Simunovic to a red card early in the second half, and the Rangers boss berated the defending which led to that goal.

He told Sky Sports: “It’s incredibly tough, but we were punished by not doing the basics very, very well – passing the ball, shifting the ball and defending.
“I thought the second goal in particular highlighted that the basics weren’t right – fundamental defending and you can’t get done by one simple ball.”
Dig at Alves and Cardoso?
Considering that the Portuguese duo were mostly to blame for Dembele’s equaliser, you wonder if Murty’s comments are directed at them.
Cardoso, to his credit, did all he could to pressure the French hitman before the wonderful finish, but Alves was all at sea.
It’s worth noting that neither are first-choice Rangers defenders, with Cardoso replacing the injured David Bates on 15 minutes, while Alves deputised for Russell Martin. Both might be available for the Scottish Cup semi-final between both sides and it’ll be interesting to see if Rangers are any more resolute as a result of their possible inclusions.
