The Hammers lie just above the relegation zone in the Premier League table.
West Ham United’s transition to their new London Stadium has certainly not been as smooth as they would have hoped. Nervous performances at home and lacklustre displays away have seen them drop into serious trouble near the foot of the table. But how have their summer signings performed thus far in this disappointing season?
Andre Ayew
After being ruled out for two months due to an injury picked up against Chelsea, Ayew has not really had a chance to replicate his Swansea form and has played just 140 minutes of football. C-

Arthur Masuaku
Masuaku has been kept out of action with an injury since September, however his performances against the likes of West Brom and Watford left much to be desired. It’s unlikely he’ll be back in the team when he returns. D
Edimilson Fernandes
The Swiss youngster has had a mixed bag thus far, with good performances against Chelsea in the EFL Cup and Sunderland in the league. However, he has also been poor of late against Everton and Stoke. C
Simone Zaza
Having moved on loan in order to kickstart his career, Zaza has done quite the opposite. A series of insipid performances have rendered just one assist and no goals thus far, making this a torrid spell in the Italian’s career so far. F

Jonathan Calleri
Another striker whose career is yet to take off for the Hammers, Calleri may be forgiven some forgettable performances due to his extremely late participation in the Olympic squad. That said, he has been less than impressive. C-
Gokhan Tore
Despite an encouraging performance early on against AFC Bournemouth, which produced his only notable contribution to West Ham’s season, Tore has trailed off badly since then and is much in the same boat as Zaza. D-
Havard Nordtveit
Having been drafted in as competent yet versatile cover for a number of positions, Nordtveit has lost his way slightly due to Slaven Bilic’s formation change and there is no real area in which the Norwegian can challenge for a place. C
Sofiane Feghouli
Coming from Valencia with a big reputation, the Algerian winger has netted just once (against Domzale in the Europa League) and has yet to start a Premier League game. However, Feghouli was ruled out through injury for over a month so this would explain the slow start to some extent. C
Alvaro Arbeloa
A strange signing to say the least – the former Real Madrid veteran, deemed surplus to requirements, has played just three times for the Hammers and no longer looks up to the Premier League standard that earned him a move from Liverpool in 2009. F

Ashley Fletcher
Another very young player who, like Fernandes, looks raw but talented. Fletcher has, understandably, been used sparingly but he may get his chance up top if Andy Carroll can’t stay fit and Zaza keeps up his horrendous form. C+
