How has Leeds United’s Spanish playmaker Samuel Saiz fared since joining the club in the summer?
Spanish midfield maestro Samuel Saiz has made an instant impact at Leeds United.

After a dramatic start to the Championship season, HITC are looking back at which summer signings have paid off and which players are struggling to find their feet in the second tier.
Here we take a look at Leeds United’ attacking midfielder Samuel Saiz, signed in the summer from Spanish Segunda Division side Huesca.

Leeds battled hard with La Liga outfit Eibar to land the 26-year-old in the summer (YEP) and the hard work seems to be paying off, with Saiz enduring an outstanding start to life at Elland Road.
The Spaniard has taken to the Championship like a duck to water, notching up four goals and three assists in 14 appearances for The Whites whilst establishing himself as a fan favourite amongst the Leeds faithful.

Saiz has been considered one of the Championship signings of the summer, with his relentless energy, flair and ability to pick a pass out of nowhere earning him plaudits from across Europe, with Spanish paper Marca even labelling him ‘the Neymar of Leeds’.
With two-thirds of the season still left to play, it’s important not to heap too much pressure on the former Atletico Madrid attacker, but Saiz looks very much like the spark in this Leeds United side.
