Celtic made five first-team signings during the summer as they looked to maintain their dominance of the Scottish Premiership.
With the international break presenting managers with the chance to take stock of how their season has gone so far, HITC Sport has decided to take a look at how Celtic’s summer signings have got on and graded them accordingly…
Jonny Hayes
It has been a difficult start to Jonny Hayes’ Celtic career, with the 30-year-old failing to replicate the form that made him so influential at Aberdeen. He is yet to score or register an assist in the top flight.
Grade: C-
Kundai Benyu
Kundai Benyu is clearly one for the future having only made a handful of appearances so far. He is yet to lose and the Hoops have not conceded a goal when the 19-year-old has played.
Grade: C
Olivier Ntcham
Generally Olivier Ntcham appears to have all the attributes required to become an absolutely inspired signing, having featured regularly in the league and in Europe. It has not been a perfect start for the midfielder, but it has been an extremely encouraging one.
Grade: B+
Odsonne Edouard
Odsonne Edouard has probably not put too much pressure on Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths, but he has scored and bagged an assist from his handful of top flight games. As a loan signing, it is impossible to say that his arrival was not a good piece of business.
Grade: C
Patrick Roberts
Patrick Roberts continues to conjure moments of magic from nowhere following his return to Parkhead. He bagged a fantastic assist against Rangers and scored in the 3-0 win over Anderlecht in the Champions League. His quality will go a long way to determining how far the Hoops go in Europe.
Grade: A
