Tottenham Hotspur endured a miserable afternoon and their already-slim Premier League title hopes appear to be in tatters.

Harry Kane has taken to Twitter to comment on Tottenham’s hugely disappointing defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, and insisted that Spurs need to stick together to get themselves back on track.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men became the latest side to fail to end Manchester City’s stunning winning run in the Premier League – as the Cityzens ran out 4-1 winners at the Etihad Stadium.

In truth, it should have been a lot more comfortable for Pep Guardiola’s men, and it was only Christian Eriksen’s stoppage-time reply that made the scoreline slightly less humiliating – though there has certainly been no shame in losing to City this season.
It was a bitter pill to swallow for Pochettino’s side, not least because it now means that City find themselves 21 points ahead of Spurs in the table and any slim hopes of a title challenge appear to have been dashed.

And following the game, Kane took to social media seemingly in an attempt to encourage all those associated with Tottenham to try and put the bad day at the office behind them and concentrate on their next game.
At the start of the season, few would have expected Spurs’ trip to Burnley in December to be a game that presents them with an opportunity to leapfrog their opponents, but with Sean Dyche’s men now one place and one point clear, Saturday’s game is hugely important for Tottenham to get their season back on track.
