Some West Ham fans on social media have had an interesting reaction to hearing Michail Antonio will be available to play against Tottenham on Sunday.
Usually, you would expect Hammers fans to be over the moon and jumping with joy after hearing their star striker is back fit, but that wasn’t the case this time around.
Indeed, instead of expressing joy, Hammers fans were actually imploring the club to leave him on the bench against Tottenham.
Perhaps it’s because West Ham have had good results without Antonio in the XI, but it seems as though supporters of the London club don’t feel as though they need to rely on Antonio against Tottenham.
The main sentiment was that David Moyes needs to protect Antonio from further injury and learn from his mistakes in the past when Antonio has been rushed back from injury and picked up further problems.
Whether or not Antonio starts against Spurs remains to be seen, but there are a few Hammers fans that want to see him left on the bench.
