Leeds United stars Tyler Adams and Brendan Aaronson have been taking part in ESPN’s ‘You Have To Answer’ series, and they’ve been asked a very interesting question.
Indeed, the USA stars have had to pick between two of the best young strikers in the world as they’ve been asked to choose either Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland.
Both Mbappe and Haaland are amongst the very best players on the planet, but the two Leeds stars agreed that Haaland is the better player at the moment.
Interestingly, in another world, Haaland could’ve been their teammate at Leeds United. After all, the Norwegian is a boyhood Leeds fan who was born in west Yorkshire.
Leeds actually had the chance to sign Haaland before he headed to RB Salzburg, but due to their Championship status at the time, they couldn’t match the financial package on offer from the Austrian side.
Better than Mbappe?
Both Adams and Aaronson were asked to choose between Haaland and Mbappe.
“This is the new one you know, I see this one a lot, I’ve got to go with Haaland,” Aaronson said.
“Haaland,” Adams agreed.
The new Messi vs Ronaldo
For the past 15 years or so we’ve had to listen to debates around who is better; Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, but now it seems as though Haaland and Mbappe have stolen that debate.
These two are on top of their games right now, and while Mbappe has the better CV due to the trophies he’s won, Haaland has performed in multiple leagues and is in better form right this second.
Make no mistake about it, these two will be the best players on the planet for the best part of the next decade and this debate will rage on for years to come.
