Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin has issued a rallying cry after Everton’s defeat to Newcastle on Sunday.
The Toffees had a brilliant start to the season, winning each of their opening four matches, but they are now three games without a win after dropping points against Liverpool, Southampton and Newcastle.
Fortunately, they haven’t lost too much ground in the race for a European place next season as they remain fourth in the table. But, if they don’t buck up their ideas, they could soon begin to slide.
Luckily, it seems as though their star man isn’t blind to the fact that they haven’t been good enough as of late, and he has been very open about the fact they have got to be better.
The striker has earmarked Saturday’s fixture as the game where Everton need to start to turn things round, and they have got a great chance of doing just that as they face an out-of-sorts Manchester United at Goodison Park.
If Everton are to get back on track, they will be relying on Calvert-Lewin’s good form to continue.
The England international has netted eight goals in seven Premier League games this season and, if he continues to bang them in at such a rate, the Merseyside outfit will surely start to pick up points once more.
