Darren Bent told Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports (05/09/21 at 2:10 pm) that Liverpool summer target, Jude Bellingham, has ‘got the lot’.
At this moment in time, both Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice are ahead of him in England’s midfield pecking order.
Even though he didn’t feature as much as he would have liked at Euro 2020 because of his fitness and lack of sharpness, it seems as though Jordan Henderson is next on that list.
But Bent thinks, down the line, Bellingham, could become a regular in England’s midfield because he has that ‘box-to-box’ talent.
“Could he be the third in that three you are talking about?” asked Bent. “Certainly, before the Euros, you had to find a place for Jordan Henderson.
“Listen, Jude Bellingham, he is still very young. He has plenty of time on his hands. I think eventually, he will be in England’s midfield. I think he has got the lot.
“I heard Roy Keane talking about it, you either are a holder or you are a number 10. Well, I think Jude Bellingham is a bit of both. Box-to-box. Can break up play.
“For me, he’s coming out party was against Manchester City, he was sensational.”

In the summer, Eurosport did claim that Liverpool were keen on the 18-year-old Dortmund superstar.
But whilst everyone else went crazy in the summer market, those on Merseyside, including their rivals, kept a low profile.
Given Bellingham’s age and quality, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Birmingham-born player is a long-standing target for the Reds and many other clubs, especially in his home country.
Although come next summer, or dare it be said, even in January, Jurgen Klopp might not be the only one chasing Bellingham’s talents.
