Ian Wright has claimed that Bukayo Saka had the ‘beating’ of Sergio Reguilon during Arsenal’s 3-1 win against Tottenham on Sunday, as he told Premier League Productions (26/09/21 at 5:25 pm).
In a first-half blitz from Arsenal, the away side had no answer to their rivals running riot in front of their own supporters and putting three goals into the back of their net.
Saka assisted Emile Smith Rowe for the opening goal, when he beat and outfoxed Reguilon out wide, and then laid the ball on a plate for his Arsenal teammate to score.
Then Saka, for Arsenal’s third goal, ran through Tottenham inside the box, with the help of Harry Kane, and slotted home.
Wright praised Saka for performing ‘brilliantly’ and how Reguilon should have done better against the England international.
“To be honest, Saka has been playing brilliantly,” said Wright. “I think Saka, the first goal, as much as Reguilon got caught inside, I don’t think he came out quick enough to Saka.
“I am saying that he has got the run of him. He has got the beating of him. I think once he has cut in here with Eric Dier, I am thinking ‘go at him’.
“In the end, he has got it.”

Coming out as winners in a derby game of any kind is special for the supporters, but when two local lads are scoring then it’s something else.
For Smith Rowe and Saka to score yesterday, it would have been even more special for the supporters.
There have been troubling times at Arsenal for many years now and well before Mikel Arteta walked through the doors.
But one continual shining light has been the youngsters coming through the Hale-End production line.
