Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Dane Scarlett picked up an injury in a game for the youth team and won’t be a part of the squad to face Everton.
Usually, an injury to a 17-year-old wouldn’t be brought up in a pre-match press conference, but Mourinho rates Scarlett so highly that he now considers him a part of the first-team squad.
Unfortunately, the striker won’t be able to play any part against Everton.
“Dane Scarlett, who I consider part of the first-team squad, got injured in the youth team match and will be out for a couple of weeks,” Mourinho said.

Tottenham will be without Scarlett for this one, but with the youngster playing just 18 minutes of senior football this season, it’s hard to imagine that he’ll be missed too much.
Hopefully the attacker can recover from his injury swiftly and he can continue his development and continue to establish himself as a first-team player at the north London club.
Fingers crossed Scarlett is back in contention sooner rather than later and we see him back on the pitch between now and the end of the season.
