Rangers duo Lee Wallace and Barrie McKay have been praised by Gordon Strachan.

Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has been quoted by The Scottish Sun as saying that he thinks Lee Wallace and Barrie McKay has a ‘terrific partnership’.
Rangers have made a disappointing start to the season, and manager Mark Warburton is under more pressure than ever before following last weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen.
Factor in that Rangers also lost 5-1 to Old Firm rivals Celtic earlier this month and that midfielder Joey Barton has been suspended, and it’s been a difficult September for Warburton’s side.

Warburton will be looking for a better October, and there is a two-week break coming after Saturday’s game with Partick Thistle due to international games being played.
Two Rangers stars will be hopeful of featuring for Scotland, as left back Lee Wallace and winger Barrie McKay are the only Ibrox representatives to be named in Gordon Strachan’s squad to face Lithuania and Slovakia next month.

Rangers may be having a tough start to the campaign, but it’s clear that Wallace and McKay have done enough to catch the eye of manager Strachan.
The duo impressed with their link-up play down the left hand side during Rangers’ promotion-winning campaign last season, and have shown flashes of recreating their chemistry this season.

Ahead of the games against Lithuania and Slovakia, Strachan has been quoted by The Scottish Sun as saying that he thinks Wallace and McKay’s partnership down the left is ‘terrific’, and isn’t sure whether they’ve found life in the Premiership more difficult or not.
“First of all we have got to look at the next two games and what we want to do,” said Strachan. “And I think the partnership between Lee and Barrie in the last 18 months has been terrific and they have cemented it by doing the same thing in the Premiership. I think their partnership has been excellent.”
“You’d have to ask them if it’s tougher in the Premiership than what they have been playing over the last couple of years but they have a standard,” he added.
