Brendan Rodgers left Scottish Premiership side Celtic for the Premier League.

Gordon Strachan has claimed that he would have stayed at Celtic had he been in Brendan Rodgers shoes and brilliantly compared the Parkhead supporters to being treated like a rejected woman.
Rodgers decison to leave the Scottish Champions months before potentially winning the treble-treble, and joining Premier League side Leicester City in the process, has prompted his former fans to react in an angry manner.
The Bhoys, who are eight points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, have won two matches since Neil Lennon replaced Rodgers in the hot seat.
Nonetheless, Speaking to Kick Off on talkSPORT (04/03/2019 at 7:55 pm), former Hoops boss Strachan spoke about the Rodgers situation as he brilliantly compared it to being with a woman.
“If I had a choice, yes [I would have stayed at Celtic] because I have been in the Premiership [before] and I know what it’s like,” Strachan told talkSPORT. “The chance to win the treble, but that’s only me. I would have stayed.
“I think the fact that he is so good with words, Brendan. That the Celtic fans felt that he was one of them.
“It’s like talking to a woman and saying ‘I love you, you’re the best I have ever seen, you’re gorgeous and I don’t want to leave you. Excuse me I just seen a good looking bird go by, I’m off’.
“That was the kind of way they were hit. At the moment Celtic fans are like a woman who has been spurned.”

Rodgers lost his first game as Foxes boss over the weekend when Watford’s Andre Gray scored a last-minute winner to ensure the Northern Irishman started his reign at the King Power Stadium on the back foot.
During his career, Rodgers has managed Liverpool and Swansea in England’s top-flight, winning promotion with the Welsh club and coming to a whisker of winning the title with the Merseyside side.
He will be hoping to prove his worth with Leicester, who are currently sitting in mid-table after having the likes of Claude Puel, Craig Shakespeare and Claudio Ranieri as their managers in recent seasons.
As for his former club, they are on course to win the treble-treble, with Aberdeen or Rangers set to face them in the Scottish Cup semi-finals.
