Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers have signed Graham Dorrans and Bruno Alves among other players in the summer transfer window.

Gordon Smith has praised Rangers in The Sunday Post for signing Graham Dorrans from Norwich City in the summer transfer window.

Scottish Premiership giants Rangers recently completed the signing of Dorrans from Norwich in the Championship in England.

According to The Scottish Sun, the Gers had to pay the Canaries a transfer fee of £1.5 million in order to secure the services of the former West Bromwich Albion midfielder.

The 30-year-old has arrived at Ibrox with a strong reputation and with a lot of experience, having played in the Premier League and in the Championship in England.

The former Livingston midfielder has also earned 12 caps for the Scotland national football team, and former Rangers star Smith believes that the 30-year-old is a good signing for Pedro Caixinha’s side.

The 62-year-old has also hailed the signing of Bruno Alves by Rangers. The Gers have secured the 35-year-old Portugal international central defender following the Euro 2016 winner’s departure from Italian outfit Cagliari at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

“Dorrans strikes me as an excellent buy for £1.3-million,” Smith wrote in The Sunday Post. “At 30, he boasts experience of both English and international football. Likewise, it is hard to imagine a player of Alves’ pedigree not making a positive contribution.”

Rangers have also secured the services of Ryan Jack, Fabio Cardoso and Daniel Candeias among others in the summer transfer window so far.
