Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers lost against Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby on Saturday.

Celtic continued their strong run of form in the Scottish Premiership with a 2-0 victory over Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers away from home in the Old Firm derby on Saturday afternoon.
After a goalless first half at Ibrox, the Hoops took the lead just five minutes into the second period through Tom Rogic.
Leigh Griffiths doubled the advantage for Brendan Rodgers’s side and wrapped up the points for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership game with his goal on 65 minutes.
Former Rangers star Gordon Smith has praised the performances of midfielder Rogic and Scott Brown.

“Brought into the side, he made a fantastic start to the match and looked in superb form,” Smith wrote about Rogic in The Sunday Post.
“He then dropped out of things in a manner that was close to alarming. But when the chance fell to him, he showed great composure to stick it away. So by the time he was taken off after the hour mark, his work was done.”
“Scott Brown once again dominated in central midfield, and his value to this Celtic side should not be underestimated,” Smith wrote about Brown.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon, hosts Rangers had 42% of the possession, took six shots of which one was on target, and earned two corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Celtic had 58% of the possession, took 18 shots of which seven were on target, and earned 11 corners, according to BBC Sport.
Brendan Rodgers’s side are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 19 points from seven matches.
