Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers are behind Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment.
Gordon Smith has suggested in The Sunday Post that Brendan Rodgers’s success at Celtic is having an adverse effect on Rangers manager Mark Warburton.
Rodgers was appointed the Celtic manager in the summer, and the former Liverpool boss has done a wonderful job at the Bhoys so far.
The Hoops have already won the Scottish League Cup this season and are also playing in the group stage of the Champions League.
The Glasgow giants are going strong in the Scottish Premiership as well, and are firm favourites to win the league title this campaign.

Celtic are at the top of the league table at the moment with 37 points from 13 matches.
Rodgers’s side are eight points clear of second-placed and Old Firm rivals Rangers, and have three games in hand.
Warburton, who was appointed the Rangers manager in the summer of 2015, is getting stick from some fans, as they want the team to be more competitive.
Former Rangers star Smith, who is 61 years of age, has suggested that Rodgers’s success at Celtic has created a problem for Warburton.

“An additional problem for the current Rangers manager, and one most people didn’t forsee, is the extent to which Brendan Rodgers has grown into his role across the city,” Smith wrote in The Sunday Post.
“From the initial shock of the loss to the Red Imps in Gibraltar, the former Liverpool boss has barely put a foot wrong.
“A lucrative Champions League group place was secured, and in the ties themselves Manchester City were held to an impressive 3-3 draw. The League Cup has already been won, and the Treble itself looks almost nailed on.”
Rangers will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Heart of Midlothian at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
