Rangers chairman King has recently made some bold comments about Old Firm rivals Celtic.
As reported by The Glasgow Evening Times, King has stated that the Hoops are not as far ahead of the Gers as they should be.
The Rangers chairman has also been quoted as saying by The Scottish Sun that Celtic will not win the Scottish Premiership title 10 years in a row.
Rangers legend Smith has given his take on the comments from King, suggesting that Celtic should just move on.

“King’s latest statement – that Celtic only really have two-in-a-row rather than six because the years Rangers were out of the leagues don’t count – is sensational,” Smith wrote in The Sunday Post.
“I would expect them to make a huge stir because followers of the Hoops will not be impressed. Realistically, Brendan Rodgers and his players should smile politely, say nothing and move on.
“As the record books prove, they have the titles and the medals in the bag. No one can take that away from them.”

Rangers chairman King is probably try to get the Ibrox faithful behind him; his comments are more directed at the Gers’ supporters than at Celtic.
Celtic should not take too much notice of such comments and should just continue to do what they are doing.
The Glasgow giants have the best squad in the Scottish Premiership, and they should claim the league title next season as well.
The Hoops’ immediate priority should be to progress to the group stage of the Champions League for the 2017-18 campaign.
