Glasgow Rangers winger Daniel Candeias was substituted by Ibrox manager Graeme Murty during the Old Firm derby.

Candeias walked straight down the tunnel after being substituted during Rangers’ 4-0 defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic at Hampden Park in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup last Sunday afternoon.
The 30-year-old winger also seemed to shout at Rangers manager Graeme Murty on the way, and it was clear that the Portuguese winger was not happy at the decision.
Former Rangers striker Dalziel, who started his professional club football career at Ibrox, has strongly criticised Candeias, who has been on the books of the Gers since the summer of 2017 when he joined from Benfica for a transfer fee reported by The Herald to be worth £700,000.

The Scottish Sun quotes Dalziel as saying: “I thought Daniel Candeias was a disgrace walking right down the tunnel when he was taken off.
“If I was a Rangers coach I would have went right after him and dragged him right back onto the dugout.”

Frustration and passion
Candeias’s reaction to being substituted was not great, and there is no doubt that the Rangers winger should have been more professional.
However, it also shows just how passionate he was and how frustrating it must have been for him to be taken off during an Old Firm derby.
