Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wants to bring James Collins and Jermain Defoe to Ibrox.

Goram, who was on the books of the Gers from 1991 until 1998 and won the league title six times with the Ibrox outfit, has also suggested that Bournemouth striker Jermain Defoe would score a lot of goals for Rangers.
Collins is leaving Premier League club West Ham this summer, and, according to The Scottish Sun, Rangers manager Gerrard wants to sign the 34-year-old former Wales international central defender.
The Scottish Sun has also credited Rangers with interest in signing former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham striker Defoe on a season-long loan deal from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.
Goram believes that both Collins and Defoe would be good signings for Rangers, and the former Ibrox goalkeeper has suggested that Liverpool legend Gerrard should play for the Gers as well as manage them.

“If someone like James Collins came — a dominant centre-half — and a good, hard-tackling boy in midfield, like Steven Gerrard, we’ll be all right,” Goram told The Scottish Sun.
“It’s exciting. You see players like Jermain Defoe being mentioned. Imagine the goals he’d score here.”
Goram added: “If I was Steven, the first thing I’d be doing would be getting my boots out. He’s ten times better than what we’ve got. He’s 38 but put him in. He’d dominate the midfield against any team.”

Feasible signings?
It is hard to see Defoe join Rangers in the summer transfer window, even on a loan deal, due to his wages.
However, Collins could be a feasible option, especially as he would have the opportunity to play for a Rangers team who would be challenging for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
